Alison’s secret identity that was revealed tonight supports my theory even more that she was having an affair with Spencer’s dad. Although the cops say that the murder weapon was a shovel, I think that Spencer’s dad was WAY too freaked out when he found out about that field hockey stick. If this show follows the same murder mystery pattern as Veronica Mars (which I’ve seen several similarities between the two shows), then I think the dead friend (Ally) had an affair with a close friend’s father (in this case, Spencer’s dad). When Spencer’s father found out that Ally was going to reveal their affair (to his wife, daughters, other friends, her parents, etc.), he couldn’t deal with the humiliation, so he killed her. Or someone else found out about the affair and killed her. Either way, dressing up like a character from a book where the main character had an affair with her stepfather (unless Ally has a step-dad?), leads me to believe she would have an affair with a father-figure. And we all know Ally loved a good affair and a good scandal. Plus, Mr. Hastings has a thing for brunettes… like Vivian Darkbloom.
